Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

My AWOL birds just came back.  They came trippin' up the hill behind the house, all la-de-da. What a morning.  I am filthy, sweaty, relieved, mad, and happy all at the same time.

I've already gotten over my one egg and getting greedy for 2 a day! My Cuckoo Marans is so noisy and restless (and squatting) and now the BA is squatting and her comb is really red. The doofus EE is nowhere near, but I'll know it's her because of the bluish egg.

Mortie I'll bet by next week you'll be getting 2 a day pretty regular.

mortie, I think Cheeka gave some excellent advice. Isn't there an adage about strong fences and good neighbors? Or was it tall hedges and nosy neighbors?!

Glad to hear you are getting some eggs. Your pullet that laid at 7pm will probably skip the next day. It would be a very special chicken that didn't skip some days now and then!
