Maggie threatened to lay an egg all day. I REALLY thought she would squeeze one out. She was in the nest quite a bit, scratching and making it perfect. In and out of the coop all day...but she didn't quite get it.

The ameracaunas continue to also run in and out of the coop a lot and Hedwig has been spending some time in the nest. Leaving for vacation in a couple of days though so I'm not sure we'll catch the first blue egg. Oh well. Maggie will either drop her egg off the roost tonight or lay tomorrow I just KNOW it. Maybe we'll get a 3 egg day right off the bat tomorrow?

(wishful thinking)

Awwww, don't fret Mortie, you'll get 3 soon, I'm sure of it!

I will check again whe I tuck mine in, but still just the 1 late yesterday.

For those who have Roos, do they develop manners with age, toward the girls? I have 2 who are 5 ish months and they are not polite at all. Do they sorta learn to be gentle with age, or is it a lost cause? (Trying to be PG here).
