Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

We are having a 5 egg day. I don't think shadow is laying yet. I saw Midge and Hedwig both lay today and the 3 reds were business as usual. Shadow is the lone hold out at this point. I'm sure soon we'll have our first perfect day.

How do you freeze your eggs and how long do they keep? We have been looking for a good way to store some for the winter and we keep running across freezing them.
I have not tried to freeze my eggs yet, but I have heard that you need to crack them open and store them in a baggie or some freezer container. You cannot freeze them in the shell. That much I do know. Winter taught me that one.

Only one egg from Nugget so far today, but the day is still young.

I have 43 hens and I always freeze some eggs I but 2 eggs in mxer with 2 tbs milk mix and put in freezer bags have had them in for up to 5 mths, now my daughter just told me she froze them and when she opened the bag to fry them they were not good. but I have done it this way for 5 yrs. I only put 2 eggs because it is just myself and dh. I have never tried to freeze them not mixed.

Out of eight layers, only 2 lay green eggs. Brown layers need to step up their game. Lol

My girls have started laying! They are small. Got two today! Here's a pic in order, first one on the left top. The large one was quite a noisy event. Mr. Rooster kept running to the coop because she sounded like she was being attacked. Poor thing. Laying that big one wasn't fun!

The only thing funnier than a 3-legged dog running, is seeing him try to jump for a treat.
He jumped off the couch wrong yesterday, and hurt his leg. We are spending most of the past two days reading in the front porch/sun room. Okay, he isn't reading. While today he has stopped jumping onto any furniture, I am thinking he will be okay by tomorrow. His foot touches the ground more and more today.
