Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

so... I'm a knucklehead. I forgot that the Fosters were using this corner as a nest. but I caught Fiona Foster back there this afternoon. the brown egg on top is only moments old in this pic. the other 2 brown eggs could be hers... I don't know, so I tossed them. the rest are PEACHY'S! Seven of them!
so I put them in the kennel that makes that corner... but she made a nice nest in the dogloo, basically covering poor Gossamer with straw... lol, so I moved the eggs over. I neglected to close the pen door so the next moment, Peachy is dashing across the yard being chased by an overly amorous Red, and by the time I broke that up... Gossamer had rolled all of Peachy's eggs under herself. she was so mad when I took them... I'm hoping Peach will settle down to brood tonight. if she's not by tomorrow night tho', I will take the eggs away.

I had my first single digit day since we hit double digits in late winter. 8 the other day... but I had 13 yesterday and 13 again today, plus the hidden nest...

Gossamer is happily sitting and scarfing down all the hand treats like an old pro.

it was leftover from my lunch, who better to give it to?

Todays egg was a little larger. 53 grams. She is getting there. Pennys egg was 63 grams. Tomorrow, I am off to elk camp for the weekend. I love being in the woods.
