I've often wondered that myself Mortie (wet birds and cold temps). Look forward to someone letting us know.

I just went out to see how they are. Someone had just laid an egg hours after it got dark lol. She even felt her way into the nest. I could tell because she was still not on the roost and the egg was warm.
They're still damp but it's not super cold out, holding steady a little above 30. I felt their bodies and they seem warm and dry in spite of their backs still being wet. Darn birds.
Well normally here it wouldn't rain AND be cold on the same day. Normally it would be warm when it rains and snow when it's cold.
They seem ok. I dunno. There isn't much I can do really so I'm hoping for the best.
I know getting wet doesn't hurt them. I'm not sure if you read my previous post, it's also quite chilly here. The last couple weeks have been below zero but today it was in the 30's. Tonight it'll be in the low 20's or teens.. The cold and them being wet was more what I was concerned about. I know they can handle cold and I know they can handle wet, just not sure if they can do the two together.
