Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

MC, Johnstown's about 40 minutes from here.

while the news is still talking some depths for tomorrow, our severe weather for today has been backed down to tonight and only 1-3". according to my local weather tower, we're not getting that much tomorrow. I bet the news stations will back off by tonight's reporting. they can't just say oh, we goofed, it's not going to be so bad after they got the whole area freaked out. we're still looking at 5-8" for tomorrow, but that's much better than 8-12" or more!

I'll be picking up those eggs today!!

Good morning! I think we are going to name the new rooster Boris. I think we are just going to be getting some rain here. I think I would rather have snow.....

Lol I just re-read this and realized that I am "thinking" about a lot of stuff apparently.

Cochins are such sweet natured birds. I have 2 bantams and love them. 6 eggs in one day is great! Cochins don't generally lay as large an egg as you would expect for their size (all feathers!) so you might find that the Wyandotte lays a larger egg! I have a sis-in-law in Tempe and the summer temps are brutal. How do your Cochins do in the heat? Also, what are your 2 cocos?

These are my 2 bantam Cochins.

They stick together!

Hope everyone stays safe and warm in the storm. National news is still making it sound like a massive event, but hopefully they are focusing on the worst case scenario and it won't be quite so bad so Cheeka can complete her new route. (What are the chances you have to do a new route during the worst day of the biggest storm of the season?

Let us know what type of eggs you get! I was thinking that it wouldn't be so good to get them now when the power might fail, but then I remembered - BROODY POWER!!

Lindz, at least you're thinking! That's one up on me. Feeling brain dead lately. Must be fighting something germy.

Yes Milton. Stupid auto correct.

Hahah, sold some eggs today, only the White ones though as babs' have been quite iffy recently with thin/corrugated shells so I just thought this would be the safer root as a) I don't want them breaking during transport which is likely with thin shells and b) I want them to be good quality where hers aren't great atm. So for now Babs eggs will be for my tea! Looking forward to Peggy and Selma finally laying! :)
