Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Happy Belated Birthday Scrambles!! sorry I missed it!

I've been in the miseries for a couple of days. work is absolutely out of control, and worse now because I'm sick! hit me like a ton of bricks yesterday. plus I broke a couple of toes yesterday morning. I feel like a pile of chicken poop.

girls and boys are all well, laying is picking up nicely and Gossy is fabulous, still has all 8 eggs, and has daily company sneaking under her gate... fine by me as long as I find all the eggs before she adds them to her clutch!

You don't need Facebook to watch. It's a quick video on how to cook with a waffle iron.
Or, I can tell you.
Spray iron, cook on medium
Brownies 5 min
4 cinnamon rolls 2 - 3 minutes
Hash browns/ tator tots 8 minutes, 10 if frozen
Quesadillas 3 - 4 minutes
Scrambled eggs/omelette 3 - 4 minutes
Biscuits 3 minutes

Biscuits + eggs = sandwich!

Well... today Rump hobbled out to say hi and when I threw some treats in, she hobbled back to her nest. I will decide tomorrow what I am going to do about it. I just might give her a chick to raise. It will give her some company for a few months.

MC, I have tried the biscuit one. I would recommend taste-testing them all! I have an old Belgian Waffler, so I was nervous to try the eggs. My waffle iron only has two settings. First it is off, and then when you plug it in, it's going great guns! Love that thing!

I think they are all worth a try. Not to mention it adds a little fun to your food without having to buy and store yet another gadget.
I rotate gadgets. If the toaster oven is out, I cook everything in it. After a few weeks, I might get out the George Forman grill, and use it for a while.

W4W - sorry to hear about Matilda :( I have no advice, I just hope she gets better soon!

You guys have disgusting rain, I'm sorry. We just have plain rain here. No fish. No "dirty" rain. NO TADPOLES. EWWWWWWWW.

Thanks. She's feeling better today, but still has the problem. Or should I say butt problem? (We'll see if I'm allowed to say that.

We got a good bit of rain today. No critters fell from the sky. Rain smelled sweet and clean. All is good. I can hear the creek running roaring.

Cheeka, you work too hard! Hope you feel better soon. Poor toes! Do we get to hear how that happened?

my internet is down, but byc almost always lets me read posts but not post pics...

I smashed my toes on the "good boy gate" that separates the kitchen half of the house from Chester. they are a horrible shade of purple and black...

the big news that I wish I could share a pic of is Frankie's tiny first blue/green egg! day before yesterday, I saw Royce in the nest, fussing about and calling her in. she went, and learned a lot about what was to come from him. he's such a good rooster. anyway, being so sick, I spaced out checking last night, and I believe that is when she laid her egg! it's gorgeous...

I got the second route of my day covered, we will take it one day at a time. I'm dosed up on heavy cold/sinus meds... this stinks tho'. 8" of fresh snow fell overnight and another 8" will fall today
