Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I get what he's saying. My point is that if she is laying them in the wee hours of the morning, it won't help. She isn't going to get off the roost when it's dark. I guess my bad for taking away their light too soon. In a few weeks the sun will be up by then. I'll put something in there to see if that helps but I think she's laying them before the sun rises. I should have backed their light off but I figured an hour or so wouldn't make that much of a difference.

Sometimes it's the stress itself that will affect/delay the laying cycle. She needs a reset button!

My wannabe broody was sitting on the nest when I went out to collect eggs this afternoon (second egg collection of the day, I usually go out 2-3 times). She growled and tried to bite me. I tossed her out. Underneath her was her tiny egg (she always lays the smallest egg) and Penny's which was a double yolker today. Only our 3rd ever.

I have a question for you.
My sweet little Isbar pullet laid her first egg two days ago (and as I am new to chickens she is teasing the heck out of me!) what seems to be the norm for the average pullet's plumbing to find it's 'norm'? If I hadn't mistakenly flung her egg across the room yesterday I am sure I could have handled the wait a wee bit better! :/
TIA

It could take a couple of months. Welcome to the thread!

9 eggs today. So close to perfect. The Polish was the hold-out. But the BO laid a double-yolker. Not sure that counts as perfect, but 10 yolks is pretty stinkin good.
