Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Suuuuuure! Offer help if you were closer now that the hard work is done.

Just for that, I'll make you fix my turkey pen and the big run.

Jaz is awake. I can hear her in there I am almost afraid to type in case she can actually hear her it! We all know kids have the super power of awesome hearing when you don't want to be heard, but no hearing when you need them to do something!

No, woman! Sheesh!
Jaz doze for a while. I finally went in s few minutes after eight (bathroom is in there) and she smiled at me as she threw the final item out of her crib. She has been yelling and screaming and giggling and running and twirling and ...oh my goodness ever since. She did brush my hair and try to put her sock on. Very cute. :-D
I had to talk her out of wearing a dress. I wish now I hadn't. She's wearing all white. I watched her bypass her bib, and wipe her eggy, cheesy hands all over her shirt.
Okay, enough baby updates. Sorry.

2nd egg in the chicken run yesterday around 3pm. This morning 2 eggs in the nest?
ok is it possible to lay 2 eggs with 15 hrs?.....don't think so.
I think we've got a third girl hiding amongst the flock. Someone too nervous to leave her post in the run. I think I'll put ceramic eggs back into nest.
This is sooooo much fun

It is possible for a chicken to lay 2 eggs in 15 hours. I've had one of my chickens do it more than once. It's really uncommon though, and the most likely scenario is something else happened. Is it possible the egg was in the run and you just didn't see it? What if someone laid it and it was hidden from you and they kicked it around into the open? Could it be that you have a 3rd layer coming online? If your chickens are all of similar age I would say that is the most likely answer there without knowing more about your chickens.

Who knows. Whenever one of mine lays 2 eggs in a day, one of them is always in a weird place. Like she didn't know it was coming. Also, one of them always looks different. You can tell it didn't get enough time in the spray tan booth and many times the shell is a little thinner than normal. I am 100% positive that, at least a couple of times, one of my girls has laid 2 eggs in a day. People might tell you it's not possible but it IS possible - just pretty rare. Was it different than normal at all? Do you have other chickens that it could have been? I love a good mystery.

I love the baby updates. I get to relive it all vicariously through you without having to do any of the work! Love that she's already trying to put on socks and brush hair. Girls are so much faster than boys.

I love the J-updates too... Mylee will be a Cowgirl for Halloween today, can't wait for picture sharing to begin!

my calendars should be here on Monday. I'm so nervous. Scrambles ordered the chicken calendar before I ordered them for myself, I know she's off hunting and adventuring this time of year... wonder if it's come and if it's any good.

can you spot what I saw early this morning? remember shouting "Home Base!" or "Safe!" during tag or the like? he's standing smack in the middle of 2 posted signs. at least 6 points, might be 7 or 8, but he took off after allowing one photo. shocking really, he should be in the mind now of things being pointed at him as Bad.

Oh, good! :-D I got something from the fridge, and she pulled out s quart of hot sauce. I didn't know until I saw her playing with the cap, and had it on her (white!) clothes. No harm done! She also tossed a bottle cap in the trash. I'm anal about bottles having their caps. So, I went digging through the trash. Yuck!!
Two eggs so far. They were in separate nests (unusual) and while Jaz was getting it, some chickens walked in right behind her. I mean RIGHT behind her. She was stunned! Me too!

I'm seriously freaked out. I just used Siri(the voice in an iPhone that you ask questions) when trick or treating was. The neighbors showed up immediately. This isn't the first time I've said something out loud, wondering when Jazlyn would be leaving, and the neighbors showed up within minutes or her mother called.
I say something to someone on the phone, and I swear my sister-in-law asks me about it within days. I've asked my brother-in-law about it, but he swears he hasn't bugged the house. No one else has been in here... Unless Dave did it. I seriously doubt that he would.
Is there a way for me to know if I'm just paranoid?

Cheeka, are the signs for no hunting or no trespassing? Either way, that deer is in a precarious situation.

MC, that's kind of creepy. Do some fake tests. Say something like you are thinking about going away for a week or two, or going on a huge Christmas shopping spree, and see if they take the bait.
