What did you get for her? I bet you had as much fun choosing as she will opening them!
For my first son at 2-5 yrs, who didn't do well with surprises or changes in routine, the opening of presents was a week long event. He would very slowly work the paper off the present, trying not to rip it (!) and then proceed to examine the new toy from every possible angle before playing with it for the rest of the day. So we averaged opening one present per day! Made for some frustrated grandparents, who wanted to see him open their gift. Those were the days. Now it's just the standard rip and tear!
No tree or decorations. I'm ... Well, I'm damaged. If I even think about Christmas music, I get upset. Hopefully that will change by next year.
Dave and I wanted to get her a beanbag chair and a rocking motorcycle. So, that's what I ordered. They will be here within a week. I don't know if I'm going to tell her that they are from him too. I mean, he is the one making the money, and he really did want her to have these things.
She has been noticing the motorcycle things around the house this week. I'm telling you, she's being raised right here! She loves dresses, chickens and Harleys. I warned her yesterday that she has to use proper English, because I'm not going to deal with double negatives and the like. :-D
Does Jaz even know who Dave is? I think you should get her something special and meaningful just from you. Maybe something chicken related? A little stuffed animal or puppet would be cute. Amazon has some good choices!
They are cute. That company makes just about every animal you could want!
It's a good thing they are cute, because now they keep coming up in in my ads! I should look up something really racy, like a calendar of male models, and see if I can't get that to pop up while I'm on BYC.
There is a free kindle book called, " The Care and Feeding of Rubber Chickens". The "easy to feed and care for " in the puppet descriptions made me think of it. Very funny "handbook".
