Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

Glad you're home, Cheeka, and under the loving care of Chester. This was arthroscopic, yes? Makes it a little easier not having a big incision to heal. Hope the pain subsides soon. You got crutches? As a kid, I used to think crutches looked like fun. They are not fun.

@cheeka Aren't fur babies the best? They always know when something is wrong and do their best to comfort us.
We are expecting a bit of snow tomorrow. 2 inches or so. Not bad.
Two... two... we laid two eggs today!

About eight months ago, I have Duckling walking on my feet to encourage her to walk. I also sat her on my foot, and took a few steps.
Yesterday I revisited her stepping on my feet. Later, when she was clinging to my leg to get my attention, I sat her down on my foot, and she loved that! Today she was trying to sit on my foot, but I was moving around the kitchen, so I just dragged my foot. She was squealing so loud!

She probably thought being drug was the best of the three!

She did some poop in the potty. With her constipation issues, it was a success. The only success in days. She hasn't been into it the last few days.

She really liked getting a gift for it, though!
I candled a few eggs about half an hour ago. One was kicking its foot all around!

good morning! yes, I have crutches, but am allowed to do weight bearing walking as tolerated. I'm doing great.... all things considered. my brother said I didn't milk it enough... y'know, fluff my pillow, bring me this or that... but I did ask for ice packs, water, food, help to get to the bathroom and to get upstairs. all in all, I slept great, Chester stayed at my feet, which encouraged his "daughters" to do the same. I had a bunch of little pillows arranged so my knee would be elevated if I moved around much. which I don't think I did. I was awake by 5, and actually able to roll a little to my side comfortably, and let my brother sleep a little longer - he's on Colorado time... so I didn't wake him up til 8, I can get around upstairs pretty well on the crutches, have a half bath up there, but failed to bring anything but spicy buffalo pretzels up for snacking - really good, but seriously gross first thing in the morning, and I need food before I can tolerate a pain pill. and I promised I would not tackle the stairs without a spotter... I could go down on my butt if I had to, all 3 dogs with me tho'... best to have someone helping.
getting breakfast served soon, knee wrapped in the huge ice pack the hospital gave me. it's awesome. sipping coffee... waiting for eggs and toast.

MC, I remember clinging to my Dad's leg, sitting on his foot, sure it wasn't easy for him to get around when he had me and my younger brother weighing him down, but we would laugh and laugh! he taught me to fox trot and waltz by standing on his feet. good times!

That is why I am doing it. If I don't, no one will. Clinging to a parent's leg is a memory no child should have to be without. I think it is more meaningful when it is Dad, but I got her started. Now she will be clinging to her parent's legs. I can only hope they understand what she wants, and they don't make her let go.
I will also be flying a kite with her. Riding a bicycle is coming soon. I don't think it is normal for a four or five-year-old to be able to ride without training wheels, but I have seen it. I am hoping she will be a fast learner. Only because of the whole falling thing. My nephew never learned to ride a bicycle because my sister let her then husband teach him. Andrew fell, Bill laughed uproariously (he was an idiot) and that was the end of that. And I don't mean the bike just fell over. Andrew was a mess.
I ticked my s-i-l off yesterday, so IDK if she will let me have Duckling today. Oh well!

I am not the one that can't handle her.
Have a fun day, Cheeka! Take care of that knee!

Good news on the recovery!

When do you start Rehab?

Sounds like things are going well! And cheeka, by helping you, your brother missed the huge snow storm that hit Colorado! Good timing!

MC, I did rides on my feet when the kids were little and dancing too! I loved the dancing, they would laugh so much! I did it with my little sister too, since I was 5 years older. Good memories you are making with Duckling!

from the window... he's got 2 bantam eggs... those are my yellow boots for when the basement floods. the local hardware store only had men's size 10... my boots fit inside and they stay put so... fine and they fit him for chicken chores... keeps his good boots clean and my house is starting to show signs of needing sweeping and vacuuming, but it can wait til Sunday.
I'm definitely sore today. I can feel the swelling under the wrap which isn't bad, but glad it's coming off tomorrow! I see the surgeon in the morning and get some light exercises. PT to follow, but I don't have that info yet.
talked to Wrangler before school this morning, she is so concerned about her babies. I'll share this with her on Facebook, so she can feel better, she wishes she was here to help. frankly, I do too. she'd be wonderful to hang out and watch Disney movies with! that's what I did today, watched Brave...
