Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

She is a cutie MC. Kind of a blah day here today. Yesterday, my blood sugar dropped like a lead balloon and I spent the afternoon in bed. Today feels like its following yesterday's lead.

How low did it go?

Scrambles, I hope you feel better today! it really knocks ya down hard...

we're still cold, but tomorrow it's supposed to be near 50, sure hope so, I'm tired of the darkness and the chill, even if this winter has been "mild" all things considered.

the knee is coming along. the "steri-strips" hadn't fallen off yet, like they said they should after about a week (it's been more than 2)... that girl used a lot of glue... and so I pulled them off today. it was a little icky feeling, but such a relief. I see the surgeon on 3/10. please let him say I can go back to work. in the meantime, I am on the hunt for a right side drive vehicle. I don't want to straddle anymore. I don't want to drive with my left foot. wish me luck that I'll find one before I have to go back!

Good luck on the car hunt , Cheeka! Driving from the passenger side seat used to be a recurring nightmare-ish dream for me. Sometimes it was driving from the back seat! Very odd feeling, and think it was all about feeling out of control or something. (The kids were very young when I had those.) If you don't have a car by your check up date, just go thespian and limp and wince and get another week off.

The Serama chicks are getting bigger. Around 3 weeks, and almost the size of newly hatched large fowl. They need more room than the cage I've had them in, so am working on getting the garage cage set up for them. They are pretty friendly so far. You can reach in and pet most of them or pick them up without too much fuss. We'll see if that lasts when they have room to get away from me. The new pen is 40"x40". Ha! They're kind of crazy. Probably 6 cockerels in there.

If I had to bet, I think there are only 2 pullets. Maybe next weekend I can tell who's who.

Hi MC and Duckling!

Hi Scrambles! Hope you are having a better day!

Ha! Im in bed...Again. I did manage to get a bit of cleaning done. DH is building a kitchen island for me. We picked up the granite top for the island and left it in the entry way. Its too heavy for the 2 of us to carry up the stairs, so it stays downstairs for now. Anyway... my male cat, Squish, has let us know that he doesnt like the granite top. He sprayed it... several times.

400

Day-olds. They don't even come up to the top of her leg.
Two-weeks-old. I intentionally put her in the same outfit.
400

Time to shuffle them again. I knew the other brooder wouldn't last long. I'm thinking I'll sort suspected sexes.
