I just know that because they can leak poison to the heart, and are located so close to the brain...teeth are essential to keep healthy. she knows all about the tooth fairy. she's stubborn.

I get the spine chills so easily now it's ridiculous. used to only be for good thrills, like watching Wrangler's dad jump 80' on his dirt bike...now, when the dog stands on her hind legs, I get the willy's like her legs will snap. so...yeah, when she's roller blading or bicycling, there's a lot of times I can't look. she's going to get bonked...

I found a new handyman who looks like a keeper! he'll reconstruct the cabinets/wall in the kitchen where the fridge doesn't fit and help me build a chicken coop/run. can't wait can't wait can't wait!

we had some subzero days, so yes, the fireplaces are cranked here - my folks came to visit yesterday, the last time they were here, my Mom complained that it was cold in sections of the house, which was true... I hadn't figured all the stoves out, nor had the gas fireplace fired up. everything is on now, I bought a ridiculous amount of pellets, but figure I will only have 30-40 bags left by Spring.
the "ramp room" is nearly empty - we unloaded the moving trucks into that room. Wrangler rollerblades in there. someone who previously lived here was handicapped. the ramps that led outside were removed, but there is a nice one in here that leads to the rest of the main level. she likes to skate the circle of rooms and then down the ramp - whoosh! and into the big room that will eventually be our living room/family room. we'll take the TV from the room it's currently in...make that a more formal/conversation/reading space. also, Wrangler's old enough for us to be able to put out some of the breakables that have always been behind glass.

Ooo, subzero is not for me! Not enough insulation in this house to handle that. Finals week, and then the boys get some time off from school. Everyone is ready for break this year.

I can just see Wrangler zooming through the house!

But your breakables! Is she still going to have skate privileges when the breakables come out? ZOOOOM!!!

I was running errands this morning and stopped at this murky pond in a little park. The mist coming off it was amazing, but by the time I parked and got in a good spot, most of the mist was gone. Still pretty cool. I think this park must be a dumping ground for unwanted waterfowl. There are all kinds- geese, ducks, coots, seagulls, even a turkey! (wild) I was a little worried about running the goose gauntlet- they were all along the path, but since I didn't have any food, they mostly ignored me.
