Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

They can go two weeks from squat to lay. Has she started in on the nest box yet? The will often do a day or two of practice egg song too.

You will get that egg soon! I hope it will be a very pretty blue color too

Don't know, I keep manipulating it to make it look inviting. It's already a nice bowl shaped nest. Haha

I finally got the UofA pulleys out and they figured out the nest box right away. It amazes me how big the eggs are fro such a small breed

Sadly, my Legbars have been laying since last fall, but recently have started hiding eggs. urg. Coop is not large enough to keep them penned up all day. Think I will try to make the nest boxes more inviting.

Yeah, now that I’ve found the nest, they moved it. I found one egg in another section, but it could have been there yesterday and I just didn’t see it. I left the two eggs I put in the boxes yesterday. I will have to take them out this evening so they don’t get overheated. I am hoping that the girls have just not laid yet today.
Perhaps I should get some ceramic eggs. Though I have golf balls somewhere, and I could always use duck eggs. Sorry, Ron. I can tell a difference in taste.
Speaking of ducks, I’m expecting this in a month.

Cakes and etc. should be fluffier. It is more of a texture than a taste. I did notice a difference when I baked with duck eggs. I do not have access to them though

Well that's good. I've been wondering where she's been. Maybe traveling?

Yes I am here and traveling. .my signal stinks but I've been trying all morning and finally it's working.
Our lives are still upside down but at least it's summer vacation. Wrangler is having a blast in NM, swimming during the day, all star little league baseball games at night...
Our storage unit was broken into twice, Wranglers dad has abandoned our pets while we've been handling that so we had to return to Colorado to get the animals...and my father is still a psychopath. Life goes on.
I'll be back in a few hours as I have a doc appt in a few hours.
All the stress I've had, I'm under 120 lbs again...
