No one likes losing a pet. It’s just so much worse when it was the only other breathing thing in the house. Perhaps I really should diaper a chicken.

Hey BC (MC). I had 5 17 week old chickens when I read OK's first post. I read all 23233 posts I just couldn't stop. My 17 week olds are almost 27 weeks and the 3 girls started laying about 3 weeks ago. My 26 little ones are now 17 weeks old. I have a serious problem with chicken math and my wife is an enabler. Fortunately y'all are friends who offer constructive advice rather than actually being enablers.

How many of the 26 (17 wk olds) are pullets? You could have eggs coming out your ears. What breed/s?
