Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

I say poor dog because he’s bored, and says he has nothing to do. He doesn’t want outside in the wicked cold, wind and snow, and he does that “let’s play!” thing, but then nothing. I rub his stomach, but I don’t think it’s what he wants. Of course, he’s always up for “do I smell bread? Can I? Mom, I want bread. Mom, you shouldn’t eat that bread alone. I need to help you.”

Where in Arkansas? I'm just over the border, in Missouri...
You going to breed chickens, Blue? :yesss:
This was a breed developed at the University of Arkansas. Light bodied chicken (I think they started with Leghorns or some high production breed) and cross bred for the blue shells. They are blue/black/splash chickens. But the project was shut down and the chickens farmed out to various places. I think some ended up in a large hatchery, but a few BYCers got some as well and tried to keep the breed going. Sounds like they need someone to take over the project.
Ron knows more about it than I do.

How about "find the treat." Put it under a cup near a couple other cups and see if he can get it. Or maybe he his channeling his inner cat and wants to play with a box. He can chomp it to pieces! Squeaky toys are good. I choose the ones with a lower pitch squeak.

Scooter doesn't eat bread. He prefers pizza crust! It's the only thing he begs for, besides dinner. Well, and breakfast. Oh, and chewy treats for his teeth... and a dog cookie if I am up in the middle of the night. Okay, he begs. But he's good about it. Plops his butt down and gives you the intense big eyed stare... until you cave!

This pup got on the counter once in the beginning. Now I am still shocked he won’t even try. He rarely asks for anything but bread..
As far as the treat game, we were playing it when I posted that earlier. That is a favorite too. I tried with the treat dispenser toys, but he wasn’t into them. Various toys with squeaks and crinkles aren’t interesting enough.

Is this Sturgis or is there a new pup that has escaped my memory?
Maybe he needs more of a challenge. Teach him to walk on his front legs or juggle or something. Scooter is perfectly happy playing tug and fetch. He makes the most ferocious noises for such a sweet looking boy. After about 15 minutes, he's ready for a nap. He had 2 seizures today. :( Seems like once a month the meds don't work. Freaks me out to see it happen.

Your pup made me miss Sturgis. He’s been gone two years. Now I have a hound dog that ain’t never caught a rabbit, so now he’s a pet of mine. He’s spent the first two years training, but he and a brother have faulty noses. He runs over to the hunting cabin when the dogs are in, but he really is happy to be here. I wasn’t sure until this last time. The original trainer passed, but the sons still come. My dog greeted the sons, sniffed at the girl beagles, then ran back to me.

My county has never made it out of the highest tier since they started. Pretty pathetic.

I might have to try Costco eggs next!
Did you get any rain? We did pretty good here. Lots of snow in the Sierra!
We had rain! I even turned off the auto water sprinklers for the lawn

There is a new setup for virtual skiing at tahoe since we are not supposed to travel in California
