Yesterday on this thread you said they had shelter, the teepee type? So whered it go? Im just curious.

2 of them are under the TeePee (if that's what you call 2 boards nailed together like an A-frame, with front and back open. 1 is in a wire cage, all sides are wire, no roof of any kind. 1 sits on some sort of wooden crate, and the remaining ones, that I can see from the street, are tied to sticks, with nothing to get under.

the "first" story was they were tethered, and had teepee's, and the OP wanted to know why they were like that........... now NO shelter

I would just call some one about it. He may be doing some thing illegal with the birds. Or he may be a person that was picking up free roosters that no one wanted. Trying to save them and got in way over his head and way to many rooster. Will never know until you try. Maybe some one needs to help him build better shelter.

Well you said yesterday that they had shelter, then on this thread you said no shelter. If they have NO shelter what so ever, then thats not good. But it doesnt mean that he is doing something illeagal with his chickens. Me my self have some in wire cages, but they do have a piece of tin or something to keep it from raining on them. Ive rasied several game roos, NOT FOR FIGHTING, had them all tied up, and they stayed very happy and very healthy. Just dont jump to conclusions about him because of what type of chickens he has, and because they are tied up. And teepee shelters are adaquete shelter .

From everyone's replies, it looks like the OP is still left with three options:

(1) call Animal Control,

(2) confront the neighbor alone, or

(3) do nothing about the situation.

I can't advise the OP what to do. She knows the situation and the details better than any of us.

I'm locking this thread since the same arguments and viewpoints are just getting rehashed round and round and round and really going nowhere.
