Should I change my dewormer?

Hi everyone, recently found out my flock has worms. I’m pretty sure theyre the common ones, ringworm or cecal. I bought a dewormer but I just realized that it’s for goats… will I need to return it and get a dewormer specifically for chickens or will it work the same for my girls?

That's the dewormer you want. Chicken specific wormers don't really exist

Ringworm isnt a worm, it's a fungus. The Safeguard liquid goat wormer will take care of all poultry roundworms.
Dosage is 1/4ml per pound of weight given orally to each chicken for 5 days. Use a syringe without a needle to administer it orally. The best time to worm them is early in the morning before sunrise while they are roosting.

After I finish the five days of medicine, How long should I wait till I can eat their eggs again? Two weeks?

We eat the eggs after using Safeguard or Valbazen. Both are Benzimidazoles which are poorly absorbed and mostly excreted. Only a small amount is absorbed into the bloodstream and there is minute residue in the eggs.
If you believe that you you or a family member might have a reaction to the residue in the eggs, toss them in the garbage for 2 weeks and dont feed them to your chickens.
