Should I COOK her? Need your thoughts.......

Thanks for all of the messages and sorry to hear your mom has passed , Zoo. I lost my dad 5 years ago this past Thanksgiving Day! It is still not easy but I was there when he passed which was somewhat comforting.

As for Rhodee, still looking for a home for her and I don't know if I will ever figure out her non-laying issue. So many possibilities!

Take care friends and have a prosperous 2009!

Because it is winter I'd wait until about March when the days are getting longer- daylength triggers laying. How do you know she isn't laying if you have her in a coop with other hens?

She went through all that. Some of us pestered her to death until she separated that hen, she kept her alone for 5 weeks. Each day, into the nest, sat like she was laying, sang egg songs, but no eggs.

I know we were all a nuisance, but she knows for sure, the hen's not laying.

Thanks Jenny for the support!

I have wonderful NEWS!!! I found Rhodee a home!!! I am taking her there tomorrow to see the accomodations for myself. She will live on 6 acres, in a coop with a ROO for the first time! Maybe that will do the trick...LOL! I'm so excited and the lady sounds so nice that is taking her.

I love happy endings! THANKS AGAIN for all of your comments and support....I'll try to get a pic of Rhodee's new Roo boyfriend and share with you guys!

Take care friends, Justine

So glad she's getting a new home! If you get updates, please let us know what happens.
