should i get a duck

hi i really have really wanted a duck ever sice meeting some ducklings at a local feed store. should i get them? i already have chickens and quail. what are heir requirments? and the lingering question how do i get my mom to let me get them considering im only 13

Pay for it yourself? Trade the ducks for the chickens?

Duck requirements are generaly the same as chickens except they need to bathe in water.

Ducks are just about as easy to care for as chickens, keep anything together in close quarters and they are going to fight..If you have plenty of space and money, sure get yourself some ducks. I have been keeping ducks and chickens together for years without problems. You might notice people who say they can't be together often either have an incorrect ratio or don't have enough space for each bird. Sure better for kids to be raising livestock than playing video games all day.

thank you guys so much, any idea how to convince the parent to let me get one? also can i only get one duck or should i keep multiple together. and can i keep duck chicks with chicken chicks
