Something got my male duck last nite now I just have one female should I get her a friend again or will she be ok by herself.

She will be lonely by herself. So if you want her to be a DUCK, not a house pet attached to humans, then yes, get her a pal. But make sure your pen is secure.

Thats what I thought just hearbreaking to lose them I am the one that gets attached. They are safe and penned up at nite but he disappeared without a trace in the middle of the day on pond

That's is too bad, sorry to hear it. Definitely get her a friend/s ducks are flock animals and do benefit from having others of their own kind, even more so if that is what their already accustomed too.
