Lately I've been interested in getting some more ducks for showing, using for breeding projects and to just have around to watch. Some breeds I'm thinking about getting are blue/black Swedish, welsh harlequin, Cayuga, Australian Call, and Saxony. But I'll have to make some more duck enclosures for them. What do you think about these breeds?

If you plan on buying ducks for breeding/selling then I would suggest looking into call ducks. There are a whole bunch of varieties to breed and they're Very popular in the duck world. I went to a flock swap with about 11 call duck drakes I had to get rid of and sold them all for $15 ea. in about 10 mins. plus their small size makes it much easier to house them since they don't need as much space as standard ducks do.. And they're really cute too!

I agree! I was going to reply the same to this thread. I have tons of call ducks, they are the best and cutest lil birds!! Their spunky behavior adds to it, too :love
