Okay first off I'm like an over protective dad for my hens. But they trust me with their lives so I think they love me too. They are a little difficult to manage sometimes since I work outside and I get home tired... But I've been managing sorta lol. Well their healthy but it's hard to keep things clean 100%

Anyways I really really REALLY... LOVE I love my girls.
The left is chicken nugget and the right is fish stick

I love them so much my heart melts for them.. and I've been wanting more chickens (I sound like a first time mom) but I want more chickens to take care of but I've been hearing things I'm not sure if they are rumors.

Chickens killing each other...
I threw a fit when one chicken was pecking chicken nugget

That's unacceptable in my flock and you'll get time in the box if you hurt my girls  anyways I had to step in and protect her because she was so sweet and didn't do anything back and still tried to huddle up with her at night.. so I stepped in because she was starting to injure her and after a few moments of her challenging me she backed off and hasn't done it since

Im confident fish stick would protect chicken nugget because she does it now if she thinks I'm hurting chicken nugget :l sometimes chicken nugget goes beserk and fish stick thinks it's me so she'll run up to me and start trying to peck me back but we're working on our dysfunctional family. Anyways fish stick is very very ill she still has energy but I wouldn't expect her to get into a fight

But if I added a couple new chickens would I have to be worried about them pecking my girls to death?? I would kill anything that tried to hurt chicken nugget and fish stick they are the loves of my life... If I add a couple new chickens is there a specific way I should introduce them?

Buff orpingtons would be the best. They are super friendly and are not mean. Same with EEs.
EEs are a pretty mixed bag, as far as that goes. Lady is my only pure EE and is unquestionably queen of the coop.

I've never had Orps, but have often heard that they are gentle. I have had Australorps and recommend them. Silkies are usually nice to other birds, but your birds look like production Reds and would probably bully them.

Hens will kill other hens, but generally only if they're psychotic (just like humans, chickens have their nutcases) or if they're horribly crowded in a small pen.

My EEs are at the bottom of the pecking order.

Yeah fish stick is either production red or new hampshire red I'm not very sure that's just what people were guessing on the breed forum... Chicken nugget is a road island red Like I said she was messing with chicken nugget for awhile until I stepped in. She's not feeling well lately so I don't know if she's friendly or just too sick to bully chicken nugget lol. If one of them sees me with the other they usually both pile on me lol I let them sleep on me for a few hours last night and they just casually walk on me and find a nice spot to lay down :) or sometimes they snuggle together on top of me lol if anyone has a temper it's fish stick but she's had multiple sicknesses so for the last month she's been very calm and sweet... Except the time I woke up in the middle of the night and found her standing right by my couch where I was sleeping starring at me in the dark :lau I was like girl what are you doing??? I let her sleep inside when she's sick because the Florida sun is... HOT and practically doesnt set lol
hopefullyI don't have a psychotic chicken I've had too many psychotic girls in my life lol:D

I really want to let them raise chicks when they mature but I'm also worried about how a rooster would be. I don't plan to keep the rooster any longer than to fertilize her eggs when she starts to lay. Any chance a rooster will harm her? Because I would have a melt down

Getting a rooster and then getting rid of him would be rather stressful to your flock--it would completely re-arrange the pecking order twice in a short time. Also, production red hens are unlikely to go broody or raise chicks. (It could happen. But it usually doesn't.)

Personally, I think a good rooster is the best part of a flock. A good rooster respects his ladies and calls them for treats. This is why I like free/cheap mature roosters. You can see what their temperament is before you get them. Especially if they were previously kept with a flock.
