So the chicken that hatched out this morning still has like an ambiblical cord attached to her/him. Can that be removed??

You can cut the string, do NOT pull it, close to the shell.

OMGosh grueling hours and finally they are both here. The first one this morning at 4:45 am. The second one came out at 5:50 pm. Had to separate them. At first they were cuddling and then the older one started pecking at the younger ones eye. So. Say hi and welcome to....

You might want to cover those shavings with paper towels for now. That way you can sprinkle some feed on there and they will see it.

Great idea and worked like a charm. And now they are sleeping again. Also using a water dropper to give them water so they are ready for the nipple system on the waterer outside.

And they are up again. lol
