Up to the OP, but I would probably open the air cell now, just like the last one. Remove the shell first, check the membrane for bleeders, etc, etc

ok, i’m going to make sure there are no veins.

so i took off the outer shell and put vaseline on the inner. after waiting a little bit, it looks like there’s still vessels with blood in them. what do y’all think?

It's safe to peel off the outer membrane too, just not the inner membrane until you check it. Looks good so far.

so is there another layer i need to peel without tearing any vessels? sorry, i’m really new to incubating.

Oh my goodness, I missed your last post.
How are things going now?

they are good. i’m a little worried about him/her because i feel like they’re “the ugly duckling.” i’ll send a pic in a little. i could tell that all the vessels were gone, so i went ahead and peeled it off. when i did that it really tried to get out but couldn’t. i didn’t know if i should have done this or not but i went on and completely cracked the egg and i’m glad i did. the shell had stuck to her feathers so whenever she tried to get out it did nothing. now she seems weeket than the rest so i’m hoping she’s good,
but time will tell.
