should i help these eggs hatch?

Can you still see then moving their bills and "yawning"? If they make that yawn motion, they are still absorbing yolk. If you see them start struggling, and looking like they are trying to zip and can't, then you might want to help.

IF you help, just remove the shell over the round end first, where it would naturally zip. Moisten the membrane (coconut oil or Vaseline) and check for blood vessels before peeling any membrane back. Let the duckling kick out on its own when its ready. It could be right when you help, or it could take a while longer.

the one that i said was “chattering” was making noises and seemed to want out, so i peeled off the outer shell near his head.

Moisten the membrane with some coconut oil, Vaseline, Neosporin. See if there are any active blood vessels. It also needs to stay moist or it will stick to the feathers

ok! i did that and now that egg doesn’t seem to want out

Do you see lots of blood vessels?
And do you mean the duckling doesn't seem to want out of the egg? It may not be fully absorbed and ready to hatch yet. Just put it back in the incubator and wait now.

Did you peel the membrane off the end, or leave it on? Eventually it will probably need peeled off, because when they naturally zip, they have the leverage of the shell to break out. Without the shell, it will likely just keep stretching at the membrane and not be able to remove it on its own. If it hasn't torn its way out by the time you go to bed, I'd gently peel it away from it's bill.

Similar to this. Then it can just push right out when its ready. Just be careful of any blood vessels. Don't rip them.
