There's a perfect forum for starting a thread asking about your Mom's coop. Just click on Forums (along the top menu) and scroll down to:
Coop & Run Design, Construction and Maintenance
In the Articles section, you can read through a ton of articles on what others have created. Be sure to give yourself some time to root through, though. Once you start reading about all the possibilities, it's easy to fall down that proverbial rabbit (chicken?) hole and get lost. It's addicting!
