I have chicks that are abit over 4 weeks old that I feed purina start and grow medicated, the bag is almost gone and should I buy another Start N Grow or should I use the purina flock raiser with abit more that has 20%, the start n grow has 18%. Which one should I get?

I think they should be okay. We switched to the next 'level' when our starter bag ran out too.

You could raise them on Flock Raiser from day 1 if you want. That is what you have to do if you have a hen and chicks together.

They are not going to start laying until they are about 6 months. I would stop feeding them medicated feed after 3 1/2 to 4 months for sure. That's just to make sure the medicine is well out of there system and wouldn't be in their eggs. That would be a good time to use Flock Raiser. Sometimes you can find grower feed that doesn't have medication it it too. At around 5 to 6 months your cool to give them layer feed. You never really have to give them Layer feed but it is cheaper and has calcium in it to help with there shells. With hens on flock raiser it is good to have some oyster shell laying around in case they need some calcium.
