Should i teach my duck how to fly?

I was asking because this one time when he had just gotten his first feathers and we were walking in a park he was extremely far behind and then i just heard flapping, i turned around and he was flying towards me a couple meters off the ground. So i was just wondering if maybe he should learn to fly (so yeah...thats why i asked this).

If he's refusing to eat, something is wrong, and it's nothing to do with flight.

You shouldn't be taking your duck to a park, especially without some kind of leash or harness. There's too much of a risk of a hawk or other predator getting him, of him getting a disease from one of the birds at the park, or of him spreading diseases.

First of all yeah i am WAY worried about the eating thing.
And secondly in my area there arent any hawks, falcons, or eagles. And besides i havent taken him to a park in 5 months and I dont plan on taking him to a park ever again specially because in my area there are a couple hundred stray dogs and a couple hundred taking their dogs out for a walk every hour of the day.

So thought i before i had a hawk (no clue what kind of) sitting in the tree next to my Duckies. They knew instinctively that this bird had no good intentions and hid behind the AC-compressor and were alerting me. Hawks and Owls are almost everywhere, even in large Cities, i have seen a hawk circling over downtown L.A. Just have an eye on the sky…

Gives us info on what you feeding your Pekin along with any treats and can you please post pics of your duck along with poop pics I am worried your duck maybe sick and that should take priority over whether he should be taught to fly.
