Show Me How you House your Meat Chickens!!!

I don't have pics up yet but my meaties, after 3-4 weeks in a 4x8 trailer brooder, are moved to a hillside pasture, fenced by 160' of electric netting. Their housing is a 3 sided structure that I use for hogs and dogs as well. I think they are 3x4x6.

I raise myn in a simple 8x8 shed with a lamp and a square cut out in the back for a box fan.

I raise mine 25 at a time in a 12 X 12 box stall in the barn. It is well ventilated but not drafty. I hang the feeders and waterers. I bed with shavings, and I add shavings as necessary so the bedding is never damp. I do not remove the shavings and clean the stall until all of the meaties are gone. I start the baby chicks inside a ring of cardboard about six feet of so in diameter with a red heat lamp hung over the middle. I remove the carboard when it starts to get a little crowded but leave the lamp as long as they seem to enjoy it. I do not let them range outside because I do not have the facilities to do so. With this method there is a minimum of labor and no odor.
