The American Game would be very similar to the old English game. The sub-flock that split off happened before I introduced game into the main flock so they don't have any game genetics. Just with natural selection they are mostly smaller than the originals. Every once in a while a bigger one will crop up, but the smaller ones seem to do better. That is an interesting story! I hope you have good luck in creating the breed you want. I suggest adding a less heavy breed into the flock, if you want good predator evasion chickens. Old English Games and Old English Game Bantams would be a great breed for that part. I have an Old English Game Bantam mix cockerel named Jasper; if he ever gets out of his pen, good luck on catching him.
This is Tony! A silkie-sebright hybrid, 3/4 silkie 1/4 sebright, he's 4 months old in two days!!I am working on a chicken landrace population, or maybe a planned barnyard mix? I'd like to see pictures of your mixed breeds. Please identify breeds, if you know them.
