That rooster must have something in him other than phoenix and ayam cemani. Neither of those breeds could've given him a beard or feathered legs.

That’s what we thought too, but that is all that was in the breeding pen. We were surprised when he hatched with feathered feet.

Those traits aren't recessive, they're dominant, so it's genetically impossible for him to have those parents. Unless the parents are mixed and also have those traits.

Silkie/AC roo. He's like a bantam A/C.

Here he is with his Silkie harem (cuckoo and splash are the moms).

His 25% AC 75% silkie offspring.

Only 1 looks like Dad and only 1 has a silkie poof, a few have a few feathers sticking up on their head, but they aren't silkie feathers.
