hi everyone, i have 3 young bantam faverolle pullets in my flock and i know there are others out there who seem to like them. but i'd love to see pic of all the other colors there might be.

post your pics, either standards or banties, hens/pullets or roos/cockerels. any age is fine. the more fluffy foot feathering the better!

here are my ladies! Chloe-my Easter girl, i think is a mohogany color but i haven't seen enough to tell for sure.

my Kiva and her sister Kiera off to the left are the traditional salmon color. Chloe in the middle to compare colors.

I don't have chickens yet, but, was reading about the different breeds. seems like Faverelles are pleasant as far as roosters go.
DO you have roosters, if so, do you like them, how many, and do the roosters all get along together, if you keep them together that is.

i had a bantam that was the brother to Chloe. he was a sweetie but he was a loud & constant crower. always waited by the door in the morning looking for attention and treats. both he and his sister hatched on Easter Sunday night. he found a nice home on 20 acres with a few other roos i had.

i hatched 8 standards a week after the bantams and they all were ok with each other (5 i know were cockerels, 1 was a pullet, rest not sure on since i sold them). i found the standards weren't as loud as the bantam when crowing. but those boys became a little aggressive and skittish. it may have been their breeding.

Charlie at 3 weeks old, the one staring at the camera. Chloe is the salmon colored one with the full wings and back feathered out.

Charlie and his 3 Stooges, as i call the 3 that made it to the coop with him. they would grab treats and run.

Charlie and the Stooges are the dark brown ones towards the sides of the photo.

:)This is from MM,I'm mad they didn't send the roo I ordered, was to be my stnd. roo for stnd. girls:rant. I think they sent a bantam Fav instead.I've been wondering is the color is right for show? They seem to have to much gray and black. Input on that would be helpful.

No I would not use them for show, they have too much black ticking to their breasts and wrong feather colors. They should look like this:

These are Mottled Faverolles that Dick Boulanger is working on or was working on: (copyrightedDickBoulanger'sfiles)

This a Mahogany Faverolle LF Rooster also from Dick Boulanger, he used to work on them and got out of them many years ago.

These were the Mahogany Faverolle Bantams that I bred (Mahogany Fav LF x Salmon Fav BF parents). It would take the second generation to get a better color and the third generation should get you the results.

There is also Black Faverolles I used to have that came from Mike Stapish but sold them all.
