This is my coop. I am Northern as well.
I have to run electricity so they have a 250 watt heat lamp to keep water from freezing.

Thats a good idea! Thanks muddler! Very inventive.
Most of the building material was stuff that was laying around. Have made improvements, and plan on attaching a run when the girls are not able to free range in the yard.
