Show me your mixes!

Here's another baby from my "mixed" or "project" pen.
Suspect he's a cockerel and suspect he carries both silver and gold - hence the lemony shading.

I'll most likely have more funky mixes next year, since I need to cross breed specific birds for my Rainbow Runners new Breed project.

Expect mixes of:

Throw Back X Malay

Throw Back X Black Sumatra

Malay X Sumatra

Throw Back X Cracker Fowl

Throw Back X Marans/Gamefowl cross

Throw Back/Malay/Sumatra X Easter Egger

Throw Back/Malay/Sumatra/EE X Throw Back/Cracker Fowl

Throw Back/Malay/Sumatra/EE/Throw Back/Cracker Fowl X Marans/American Game cross

Expect to see a alittle Heritage Barred Plymouth Rock in the mix?

For those who don't know. The Throw Back birds are from an Ancestral throw back, from somewhere back in history where games were used within their creation. Almost all breeds were mixed with Gamefowl at some point in their creation.

My Throw Back birds. They popped up in my first breeding project. Wheaten Crele Orpingtons, which is now discontinued.

Goober.

I just hatched 9 chicks that will be used for breeding since I am working on a project breed with them. They are from a Black Easter egger rooster over a silkie hen. :) some are black and a couple have chipmunk markings.

Cute.

If you did Silkie Rooster over EE hen, you'd have Fibro sexlinks. Cockerel chicks will have white, or yellow skin, while Pullets have black skin.
