Went over this with RoostersAreAwesome. They said the Orpington hen was split for yellow legs, so that means she carries one copy. This will produce offspring with both Yellow, & white legs.

He's been butchered.

I collected only the Buff Orpington eggs from that coop.

Here are three Cream Legbar and Rhode Island Red crosses. There are also a couple of mystery crosses. They are from the farm down the road. Two of the CL and RIR crosses are from brown eggs, one is from a blue egg. The two mystery crosses are from brown eggs as well. One of the light-colored crosses is a chipmunk pattern, but without the dark. Someone suggested it may have a "white dominant" gene, that both of those crosses may be from the same hen, but either the CL or RIR rooster. The picture were taken last week, at 12-days old. Thoughts?

This is Oakley. She is a 5 month old silkie/bantam brahma mix. I'm very excited to breed her to a silkie next year and see what kind of cute chicks she'll produce. Some will be silkied and some might carry lavender because Oakley carries lavender. And my family, who I will give her chicks to has my Isabel bantam brahma rooster, so maybe the lavender gene will be introduced into their flock. Wouldn't that be fun!

Anyways here she is
