It's getting pretty cold here in northern Minnesota. The temps are down in the 20F's at night and only warming up to mid-30F's in the daytime. I started cleaning up my part of the garage to get our second car in there for the winter. All my pallet projects pretty much get put on hold until March or April next year. For the winter, it's just more important to have that second car in the garage in case we need it.

I actually started clearing out all my pallet wood and tools about a week ago. Got almost half done with the cleanup. Unfortunately, I bummed up my left leg/knee, and it's been all stop since then. Hurts just to stand, let alone lift or move stuff. Nothing too serious with the knee but suspect it might take a good week or so longer to get back to normal.

I had planned on making one of those 27-gallon tote racks for out in my garage, using pallet wood of course, but I am just not up to it right now. I have about 12 of those totes from Menards so I could make a good rack to hold them all. It's on my short list. I salvaged all the long 2X4's I will need from the long shipping pallets I picked up at the Bobcat dealership in town a few months ago. Everything is ready when I feel better. Well, probably next spring at this point because my "workshop" is going back into a garage for the winter.

making a cage/maternity ward for 2 pregnant rabbits. all wood I use is scrap. I'll try to post it when I finish it.

At one time, when I was a kid, I had over 100 rabbits in all wire cages suspended in one of our outbuildings. Rabbits won't chew through the wire, but they will gnaw on the wood. No big deal, just have to plan on replacing those scrap boards as needed.

Thanks. I'm just getting old and stupid things happen and just take longer to heal. I literally went to bed one night feeling fine, and in the morning my leg/knee was stiff as a 2X4! I don't know what caused the problem, but it is getting better. Thanks again.

I put hardware mash over wood on most parts. I don't plan to keep rabbits in wooden cage for long. my 2 females didn't give a birth so I'll see where I will keep them in winter. this cage is nice and cosy.

btw, 1 of my female hasn't been eating and pooping for 6-7 days. for the last 3 days I have been giving her anti gas drops and oxytetracycline in water. she has no symptoms at all. she had scabies in the ears but is has been healed. do you have any idea what I can do to save her?
