Show Me Your RUN!

Here are a few pics of mine. It's not real pretty but it was almost free.
I just built wood frames and attached the chicken wire. I need to be able to move mine so its in six peices that i can take apart.

I also covered mine with deer netting i got for about 14.00 from menards. Plus as you can see my ground is'nt flat anywhere so the jointed sections can be adjusted to keep it flush.

Almost Free and it serves the purpose. Looks Good to Me!

I honestly think it cost me under $10.00. And its around 7ftx16ft. The biggest cost was the deer netting and i only used a maybe a third of it. Its 7 1/2 ft x 100 ft. and was $14.99. my girls love it and no issues .. By the way make sure you make a gate, this is my numero uno mistake.

I would like to be able to move mine around also. Depending on the weather. We get lots of wind in spring so i want to move it behind the barn during this time of year.

I liked the chicken tractor's so I built mine on a old boat trailer and made it detachable if I like. Treated floor joist, osb floors and walls insalation, smooth wallboardon the inside.Pink paint for my girls . Now the coop run is still in design phase. All parts and walls a:rolleyes:nd top I need to make moveable. Any ideas

I used treated 4 x 4s in concrete as the main supports. The bottom board is treated 2 x 8 with 2 x 4 framing @ 34" on center, so the 36" wire overlaps. The run is back filled with 6" of sand & gravel. Overall run size is approx. 30' x 12'. I have electric fence lines @ 6", 18" and 36" above the ground around the exterior. I don't need to worry about critters digging under. The ground is way too hard and rockey. I put 80% shade cloth for the roof. I will replace that with metal roofing when it wears out. The shade cloth is really not dark enough for good shade on hot days. I still need to stucco the front porch.
