Show me your Runs!...please 😇

At first I only had 3 chickens in half the enclosed run and other side growing fruit/veg in garden beds... Chicken math happened (varies between 13-23) and they took over all of the enclosed run plus extended outside....
So, now my run is a combo of enclosed area and outdoor extended run. Enclosed run also has fruit/veg garden beds I let the chickens turn over and then I start seeding again. I have 1 large coop (with 2 coops inside for roosting and brooding ) and another coop to the side to house another rooster and hens... I set the outside run fence close to the treeline for added sky predator protection.
Here's couple pics of my set up... I would have done just grass/dirt around garden beds but already put the stones down and set it up not for chickens 😂

I love the run! And the poofy silkies.

Here is mine. It's being rebuilt this spring. Maybe tomorrow and Friday. I want to figure out how to get a roof on it. I think my biggest problem is that the coop roof would empty into the run so I didn't want to have a short part of the run that I'd really not have access to.

The chickens have also dug a big hole underneath the coop that I am concerned will fill up with water. I really cannot get under it to see what is going on. I wonder if they're laying eggs in there as we aren't getting many anymore. Though, they're old girls, so I just expect not to get many eggs.

Anyway, this is going to change soon.

If you can’t access below your coop and they are laying under there, you can make a hardware cloth apron around the base and that will solve that problem. It will also stop them digging holes under the foundation.

Hello Friends,

I was just curious to see your guy's Runs! How big, clutter, and set up.
Maybe to get some ideas for roofs and adding extra clutter (logs, old ladders, boulders, etc.)

Imitation is the finest form of flattery as they say. My run is done but adding onto or to it itself.

Mine is a 12W×48L (576sqft) I have some very old fallen cut trees with the branches attached. They have been dug and stuck into the ground with some rather large boulders (perks of working in a Landscaping company) I will be adding two grazing boxes with various types of vegetation growing for them to have access to. And a tin barrier along the bottom half of the run covering about half of it up until the bend in the elbow if you will. Going to be also putting in a small covered area next to the automatic chicken door. That way they can have a deep shade and protection against wind, rain, and snow, etc. View attachment 2568726
This is the view from inside the coop

This is the entire run from the side, excuse the dreadful horrendously depressing dead yard 😅 it's greening up now.

This is the main entrance to the run the "Big Door" if you will. Made it large so we could bring in a tractor or snow blower for winters sakes.

Show me your runs! Always looking for inspiration! 😁😁
