Show Off and Puddy sharing Salad and Watermelon,,,

Show Off is getting so much more exercise with Puddy there; he keeps the roos away from her. She's in a big pen by herself but they pester her through the fence sometimes, or will find a way over the fence. When they put that wing down and start dancing Puddy hisses at them and runs them off. It's so cute to see her run to him for protection.

She's getting little tufts of feathers on the back of her neck where you could literally see the bones when she was injured. I don't know if her back will ever have feathers again, I'll take a picture of her back this week, it's not pretty but it's looking 200% better. She's under house arrest right now due to a sudden cold snap, she was enjoying going outside with Puddy during the day, but she shivers so hard in the slightest cool breeze I just can't see her being outside until the warmth comes back.

Wow, what a story, what a chicken! It is amazing how resilient chickens are. I had one get a huge chunk taken out of her back by a coyote and the way the wound drew itself together was like nothing I've seen in a human. Congrats on taking such wonderful care of her and I can't wait to see her progress!

I just took a bunch of pictures showing the new feathers, the still ugly wounds, but the improvement is obvious. I will get them uploaded shortly I hope.
