Miners are 2yrs old. Leiper stag is about 10-11 months

He isn't mean, but he ain't the friendliest bird on the yard. He wasn't too happy with me for a few days when I dubbed him and took him away from his ladies. He don't particularly like to be messed with too much though.

I took one of Janet's big plastic dipping spoons and taped it to a light weight aluminum 6-foot handle so that we can use it to retrieve eggs that don't make it in the nests.

lol I use a decoy retriever with the hook on the end just to gently slide an egg close enough to the edge of the pen where I can reach it. Since my pens are screwed down this is the best I've come up with. Side note my MS black does not like anything reaching into the pen, fingers, metal pole etc.. Or a lemon. Lol. However he doesn't know what to make of the net. Only bird I use it on.
