Is he eating the stuff. Seems like nutritionally it would score poorly on just about everything except maybe carbohydrates.

I sure hope not! Nah he just gets fired up and likes to peck holes in it.

Mine consume strange crap, i.e. styrofoam and charcoal both in a big way. Neither is identifiable macroscopically when it comes out in feces.

Yes. I do not understand why they consume so much of it.

I guess I'm going to have to take a closer look to make sure he ain't eating it though. Plastic like that wouldn't be good.

The birds bowl flora maybe able to treat the celluphane like cellulose where it is broken down into glucose then volatile fatty acids. First step would the hardest. Assumption is no obstructions caused upgut. The added glycerin may be easier to process since like glycerol of more complex lipids.

I haven't had enough freezing weather to kill my grass this year, but I have had a heck of a lot of rain.

Mine go after styrofoam as well... I was concerned at first but I havent seen any issues from it...

I wonder if they can sense any nutritional value from it, like Centra mentioned... they may be able to digest some of it.
