yea I have had a rooster get frost bite before but she doesn't care. She finds it a out of date practice that shouldn't be done anymore.

All of same bird.

It is about selection pressure imposed by predators. You confused gameness with lack of fear to predators. What the hades goes through your head?

I expect someone like you to understand what gameness is but you keep proving me wrong, at least based on what is posted. You guys just bully with your BS. That why a good percentage of game keepers that are aware of this thread avoid it. The fluffy stuff I present is well known by old timers I do and did know as many also dally with more than birds confined in the cockyard. You guys lost sight of much of the fun and do treat it like a chicken mill except your real market interest is in color and aggression (latter in itself does not equal gameness either), You guys should advertise your birds as pretty man-fighters.

Wow, I missed a few days and look how much I missed!

Centra, this is an interesting point to me. I suppose being game is all that really matters, but that seems to be a complex trait. I have heard some old cockers tell stories about their best cock being gentle as can be and great to handle, but set him down and stand back. To me it seems as though the ideal would be a directed aggression, but then again it can be a fine line. I don;t have much use for a rooster that is aggressive towards everything. Does that make sense?
