Show off your australorps!

My next door neighbor who bought 5 Black hens, and 5 Blue pullets of mine (the Blues are already laying now) just had a Black Australorp hatch out 6 Blue chicks, and now she found another of the Black Australorps with a hidden nest. She let's her flock free range on her 3 1/2 acre property, so there are many places around there to hide a nest, and then have chicks popping up all over the place. :lau

Hi Blue Baby,
I have a gentleman that wants to buy a Blue Australorp rooster, but I live in Ohio. I will send his phone number in a private message to you. Hopefully you or someone you know has a roo to sell to him. He lives in Utah.

Those 2 roosters are still next door, but I don't know about shipping one over to Utah. They are pretty good sized! Meanwhile I have had a new chick hatching of these going on this weekend.

Wow, we need to get this thread going again, so I will give you another update about mine... I sold all of my chicks that hatched out in July. I have been doing another hatching over here this month. So far in this hatch, I have 5 Blues, 3 Blacks, and a Splash. I am going to be keeping that Splash one though to see if it is a girl or not. If it's a boy, he will be up for sale. :lau

My babies are doing great. Feathering out quickly with the cool nights.

My ee pullet went into their pen the other day and the black chick kept following her around like she was mama. That girl was appalled and left asap:lau

We will start hatching around beginning to middle of November. $2 straight run, and pick up at zip code 22827 VA.
Thanks

I'm in the Arizona desert, and I've been hatching all summer and including last month. I'm going to take a little breather right now, and glad that someone out there will be taking up the Australorp hatching now. :lau I will still have hatching eggs over here for locals or the Canadian snowbirds that come down here to my area.
