Nice birds keep them coming,
And ditto on what Rareroo said on the splash ans lavender crosses for the o.e.s
I just wanted to also add, Just so ya know, I deal already has blue brassy's for sell, unless you just wanted to try your own, I'd just buy some, would save ya about 2 years of work....The lavenders would be nie too though, just a lighter phase of the blue birds and would breed true

I have purchased Ideal OEGB and they are larger than the show type bantams i have and impossible to sell.
The quality of Ideal OEGB is Excellent the colors and patterns are some of the best i have seen as far as the hatchery's i have used.
But the size is the problem in the realm of OEGB people want small birds and the ones i ordered were beautiful but were not marketable at all.

Suggestion here to anyone if the size of the OEGB doesn't matter, Order some of the "Pearls" or the "Golden Laced" They are Beautiful

I may just order a few this year they were some Beautiful Birds

Here is an older pic of my crele Polish rooster (while still a cockerel). In his adult feather, he has really come together.

You re right there Feathered Wings,
I got some for some of my color projects, and they are a touch larger than what you'd prefer in an O.E. just wasnt sure if you were aware of them. But, now I see you are doing the show birds, so it makes since to use high quality birds of show birds stature to start with, will be well worth it in the long run... Good luck

He looks like a cross of a Barred Rock roo on a RIR hen, I hatched one just like him before, he was the only one that hatched, was acctually an accidental cross mama went prowlin lol, but all roo from that cross wouldn't be that color. BEAUTIFUL Roo!!!!!

Your welcome for the info.

As far as the Buff Barred color, it's way more compicated than just the initial Buff X Barred cross and takes several generations to breed out the black and stippling, I am going to start breeding for this color this spring too.
