Show Off Your Biggest Thanksgiving Turkey!! (Graphic Pics)

Yes Choochie was a pet too, but I always said we’d eat him when the time came, he was nice with me and I was sorry for the way things ended. He was a broad breasted bronze too, he was six and he just kept getting bigger! The last time I weighed him he was five and it was a real struggle, I had to get him in a laundry basket to do it and we were both pretty stressed - do you have any idea how hard it is to deadlift 70lbs of thrashing struggling turkey!?!
I wouldn't even try to lift one that big. My dad will be crazy enough to try though.

The only reason I got her was to try and get over my fear of turkeys. She was young and at a swap. $15.00 I figured was a good price. When I was young my mom took me to an uncles house where there was a turkey that looked much like yours here . We got out of the car and that thing straight up targeted me and scared me to death ! I remember running in circles around the his house w/ that tom on my heals while grown ups sat on the porch laughing hysterically. She was super sweet and gave me eggs. She even went broody once ! Hurt me to cull her but I had tried for a while to help her and I guess she got too heavy and it effected her legs.
My brother is scared of chickens, he thinks they want to eat him.
Yeah, culling is the hardest things to do sometimes.

Ya, I didnt know that when I bought her. Of course I didnt think I would like her either. I mostly like my turkey on a plate.
It's always good to do your research.
I did have a broad breasted hen that tried to beat me up once. She always had a bad attitude.
