Okay, so here is my story. I let my chickens out this morning with two of my hens and a pullet were acting weird... :confused:Anyways, when it was time to bring my chickens in I couldn't find the two after a half hour I was able to find the first chicken! She wasn't the friendliest bird so she ran... I caught her and put her away. I found the other chicken two minutes later I picked her up... Charlotte made this and had laid a egg in it!

(Had already took her and the egg away)

I went in the house after to grab a bottle of water (very hot out) Then I started thinking... what if my pullet Anne laid an egg too!

I was actually originally going to get Barred Rocks instead of Wyandottes but the Wyandottes were less expensive...

That's funny, because when I went to get replacements locally for some that were lost during shipping (8 of 11 died :hit) the BRs were the cheapest while the Wyandottes were twice as much. Can you believe they wanted $6 per Wyandotte?! Regardless my plan was always to get BRs. That sad, I feel the chicken math coming on; but I'll have to wait until next spring. I'd like to get a bit of a mix next time.

Oh how cute! I loved doing that to my SLW roo! Such a sweet calm thing he was.. I'd always take pics of him as well

Freaked out my parents with this pic saying he was 'dead' but he was just enjoying (a lil' too much) a dirt bath while i piled dirt over him
