Anyways, I do not want my first chicken to pass from a predator when she didn't have too...

I never though of bottle rockets... (thinking emoji with pretend beard)I had hawks last year, I used to shoot bottle rockets at them. It worked. I stopped doing it when I realized feeding the crows worked sooo much better. I love my guardian crows.
Had a hawk last fall that kept scoping out my flock for weeks... I guess while i was in the barn it decided to attack. I heard all of my birds freaking out so i ran into the coop to see all of my chickens in there except for two rooster, A silver laced wyandotte named Obama and an EE named Terrance. Saw em' outside beating up wha I thought was another chicken so i ran out and kicked em' away. Turned out it was a hawk they managed to pin down. Hawk flew away and never came back. I'm still shocked that the roos managed to pinned the thing down!
I now keep fake crows along the fence. That helps keep the hawks away.
Oh my god that's so cool they protected the rest of the flock like that my blue laced Wyandotte rooster just runs...
At first I thought it said cooked chicken...Two of my three girls enjoying a bowl of oats and blueberries. My other is a RIR named C.C (crooked chicken) for her crooked beak.
