When I think of lilac I think of purple. Maybe that's why I can't grasp this? In ducks is lilac a brownish color?

Same here. Mauve in chocolate chickens is the same way, it’s one dose of blue and one dose of chocolate, but mauve to me is rosy pinkish purpleish color.

I don't know a whole lot about regular ducks, but as far as Muscovy ducks go, blue fawn isn't really a single color. It's referred to as lilac, blue fawn, and calico. Blue fawn is both chocolate and blue in one bird.

This is Joy my blue fawn a few years ago already getting a lot of white on her.

I think she looks a lot more like a blue pied than a blue fawn.

For example, the duck hen in my avatar is a blue fawn Muscovy. See how she looks blue AND chocolate. Blue Fawn is blue and chocolate "mixed" together in one bird.
