Maerwen {meaning: good} (This and following names are Elvish)

Or a Greek Gods theme (you know, since their momma's Olympia and Olympus is the home of the gods):
Aphrodite, goddess of love
Athena, goddess of wisdom {the irony...}
Demeter, goddess of the harvest
Hestia/Hera, goddesses of the home {fitting}

Glad you asked, I was just wondering what people named their chickens.

Mine are:

Puddin', a fat and friendly BO the color of vanilla pudding

Penguin, a Silver Laced Wyandotte. DS named her as she looked like a little penguin when she was a chick.

Joy, a Golden Sex-Link named by DH after his favorite character, Joy on "My Name is Earl" because this chick is fiesty and afraid of nothing.

I did want to name one of mine Princess Layer (Star Wars pun!) but was outvoted.

I'm new to all this chicken stuff; in fact, this is my first post! I have 11 babies... they are 2 months old. We just moved to our new home and our neighbor built us a chicken coop and bought us ELEVEN chickens! Nice!

So I've named five of the eleven so far:

The boys:

Nugget (barred rock - small bite-sized

)

The girls:

Honey

Tina (from Napolean Dynamite

we named ours after my children--I have all boys so I named them the girl versions:

Thomasina for my Thomas
Josephina for my Joseph
Roberta for my Robert
Gabriella for Thomas' middle name which is Gabriel
Danielle for my Daniel
Alexandria--the neighbor boy is Alex
Robina another one for Robert
and then Henny, Penny and Jenny---these 3 look so much alike that we interchange their names.
